Past exhibits have been held at the Minnesota Avenue Showcase located in the McDonalds at Minnesota and Dix Street, NE.
The Sign of the Times Gallery (formerly Mrs. Powell's) exhibited national, local and emerging visual artists also showcased the talents of the youth artwork for show and sale. It is the only gallery in Ward 7, and is concerned about the cross-cultural exchange with other art institutions such as the Museum of African Art ( now the National Museum), Fonda Del Sol Gallery and the Anacosita Neighborhood Museum (now the Anacostia Museum) and Cultural DC as well as members from the community. It serves as a resource for East of the River artist. The gallery mission and guiding purpose since 1972 has been to encourage the talents of our youth and seniors by providing a showcase to exhibit their talents in there own community.
